PR: A Look Beneath the Mask

I look at the calendar and realize why I can’t stop thinking about masks. Then, I had a brainstorm… well, more like a slight drizzle.

There are some in the media who believe public relations professionals are those certain folk who swim with sharks. Spin doctors, we’re called. Sometimes, it’s true. There are too many of us and too little of them (namely, these days). And in that crowd, it’s difficult to hear the true story tellers among the clamorous salesmen.

I dig this place because we help our clients tell great stories – or contribute to others. Some of which maybe not heard on the 5 o’clock news, but are great nonetheless.

Organizations like CCCS, Current Energy, MedSynergies and Mannatech. All of which deserve to bend the ear of a good journalist, but unless we find a mask that personifies “big teeth”, we may have to resort to smoke signals. Seeing how most of us are relegated to spam blockers these days. Memo to the journalists: There are good ones out there. Stop by some time. You’ll see.
