Kim Kardashian produces PR reality show for E! The hell...

Ladies and gentlemen of PR, start your resumes. Thanks to a story from our friends at PR Newser, I'm officially on notice of flailing myself out of a window (of just my one-story house, but it sounds like I'm committed.)

E! announced a new PR reality show today, "The Spin Crowd." The eight-episode series will feature Command PR, and will show how they, "execute red carpet events, cozy up to their celebrity clients and try to stay agile enough to keep last-minute mix-ups from spiraling into disasters."

But wait, sports fans. It gets even awesomer:

The new show debuted as a half-hour special on E! in February 2010 called "The SPINdustry." It is produced by Bunim-Murray Productions and executive produced by Kim Kardashian.

Seriously?! That woman knows about as much of public relations as I do of becoming famous because I'm a skosh carefree and had a sex tape go bananas on Google.

Oh wait... well, never mind.

There are dregs to every industry.

For every good-natured lawyer (and we have one if you need her), there is an ambulance chaser buying ad space after every episode of 'Divorce Court' and 'Judge Mathis.' For every car salesman that wants to help his or her customers, there is a 'tote-the-note' tool looking to steal... make a quick buck.

Much is life in PR. For every great PR professional that plies their craft (eh-hem!), there is a shady, big-headed publicist that creates more drama than headlines.

That is the premise of this tomfoolery (of which I am now considering a series here and HCK2 Central).

I have a theory, a sound theory, about publicists that I will have to get approved before posting but suffice to say, these folk don't represent one-tenth of what hard-working PR pros do on a daily basis - tell a client's story.

They pimp a famous (or infamous) face. We position enterprises, entrepreneurs and everything in-between.

I could go on, and if this series becomes a televised one, I probably will.

Until then, I'll have my barf bag at the ready and remote fully charged for stun.
