What's up with this traffic?

Have you been driving down US-75, I-30 or even the Turnpike and asked yourself that very question.

I mean it is the off-season for road rage and sucky traffic, but there it is... the scene from 'Office Space' changing lanes to burn out the clutch in an effort to get ahead one whole foot.

There have been reports about the Texas economy improving, so "Go Texas" there but still, this morning traffic blows.

And now, thanks to our friends at the Dallas Business Journal, I know now why:

Only nine U.S. metro areas have populations above 5 million, according to new estimates generated Wednesday by Business First of Buffalo. D-FW has a population of 6,618,405 residents, ranking behind No. 1 New York City with 19.15 million residents and Los Angeles with 12.93 million residents.

That's right, my fellow commuters. We're number four!

For a guy that drives 90 minutes one way to work... daily (yeah, I'm a company man), this only means one thing: Jet packs!

Sure the fuel costs will be enormous but consider the tan I will get. Sweet.
