Ladies, does your purse have a purpose?

Ladies, this one is for you. Well, unless we are talking to the fellas with those haute couture "Merses". Whatever works.

Anywhoo, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas is holding an important two-day event featuring some notable names including:

  • Elisabeth Leamy, consumer correspondent from Good Morning America
  • Gloria Campos, evening anchor for WFAA-TV
  • Pamela Yip, personal financial columnist for The Dallas Morning News
  • Alfreda Norman, assistant vice president and community affairs officer with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas
  • And of course, our beloved Todd Mark with CCCS

The primary goal of this weekend is to invite the community to play a part in the role of increasing financial literacy among women.

Everything kicks off October 26, 6 - 9 p.m. with a fundraiser and silent auction at Samuel Lynne Galleries in the Dallas Design District.

Items can be found on Facebook by searching "Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas."

The following day, from 10 a.m. - noon at the Center for Community Cooperation, a free panel featuring the aforementioned experts will be open to the public to learn about financial literacy and easy steps to take to get those finances in order.

For more information on "Purses with a Purpose" event sponsorship and attendance, we encourage you to contact Sharon King, vice president of CCCS Greater Dallas, at (214) 540-6813 or visit here.
