New business is giving good times to PR
Lately, your fairweather friends at HCK2 have been a skosh busy. Why? We love our clients, of course.
So much so, we want more of them.
(Stay tuned for some nice agency of record releases coming soon.)
Anywhoo, while reading PR Newser recently, we noticed HCK2 isn't the only agency in this great nation experiencing a little growth.
The Council of Public Relations Firms has released the results of its Q4 member survey with 80 percent of respondents saying that their 2010 revenue exceeded 2009. That result is higher than the anticipated outcome reported in the organization’s Q3 survey. Sixty-seven percent said revenue growth was in the double digits.
Booyah! Suck it 2008 recession!
Clients are coming back to the need for industry awareness, and PR firms (or integrated marketing communications firms like us) are eager to get back to work.
So while our colleagues are wearing bigger pants and loosening that belt, don't take this double-digit utopia for granted. Sure the business is back, but one false move in the economy and they are gone again.
You know, like James in the picture. Hey, don't fault us. We got that from the PR Newser story.
And come on... doesn't anyone know 'Good Times' wasn't the same after James didn't come back from Alaska?
[Insert your political joke here. You're welcome.]
