HCK2 INTERNally: When will food trucks roll into Dallas?

Editor's Note: Our Victoria Sharwarko sounds off. And by the looks of things, we need to stop taking her to so many client lunches. Back to work, you testy person you.

As an intern I am a little misunderstood, so I thought I would clarify a few things:

1) I LIKE SALAD and 2) I am from New Jersey, the part of the state that everyone now refers to as the Jersey Shore. In fact, Mike ‘The Situation’ grew up five minutes from my house, and so did ‘Sami Sweetheart’.

Yes, I have a Jersey attitude, so deal with it!

Now that we got that out of the way, I would like to dive into the purpose of this blog.

Most people living in New Jersey commute to the city every day to work and play, and for a period of time I was one of those people. For all you Texans, and others who do not know to what city I am referring, where have you been living? In Texas I guess.

Anyway, for lunch or dinner or whenever I was hungry, I would always go to a food truck to get food. (The girl could put down an entire buffet line if you paid her. ~ED.)

That’s what EVERYONE does in the city. Even if I was visiting my dad at work, we would eat on the street. Yes, really. Hot dogs, gyros, crepes, pretzels, nuts… yum! I’m making myself hungry just writing this blog. When’s lunch?

Food trucks are all the rage now according to Twitter, The New York Times and the Food Network. You can get any type of food you want for a cheap price. Seriously, who can argue with that?

I wish food trucks were a fad in Dallas, like cupcake shops and burger joints. Down here, we all know what Sprinkles and In-and Out are here and exploding, but it seems we haven't discovered the wonders of the food trucks. It’s actually kind of depressing. That’s got to change, who’s with me?!

And when’s lunch? I’m hungry… Or did I already say that?
