...it gets a 70/100 on Google's Page Speed tool and an 83 using YSlow, Yahoo's performance utility, with 12 external Javascript scripts that could be combined into one, eight external stylesheets that could be combined into one, and 36 external background images that could be combined with CSS sprites.

Way back when, at a time when font tags ruled the land, there was a free site host called Geocities. Geocities was my, and many others’ first web host back in the 90s before Yahoo! purchased it. It was free, it was personal, and it was great.

Getting to Know Your Browser

For many people, a Web browser is simply a gateway to the Internet. They've never given it a second thought, and never really thought about why they're using that particular one. If you're running Windows, chances are you're reading this in Internet Explorer. A Mac user will likely be using Safari. You update the browser when the operating system tells you to, and the setup just works.
