EmFinders
EmFinders is a technology company focused on the rapid location and recovery of wandering or missing adults and children. Their first product, EmSeeQ, consists of an affordable, wearable device and activation service which are linked to the E-9-1-1 emergency response systems. The system takes advantage of existing cellular telephone location technology, which already is in place in 96 percent of the US population. In the winter of 2009, EmFinders approached HCK2. They wanted to take control of their existing website, which was being held hostage by their host under an exorbitant monthly fee. Their CEO was understandably skeptical about the honor of Web firms. And in fact, it would take one additional bad experience elsewhere with a poor Drupal installation before HCK2 was engaged to, once and for all, “do it right.” So we built an award-winning design wrapped around one of the fastest sites on the Web.
