Stately Doors & Windows

Acquisition Communications

When Stately Doors & Windows acquired Reilly Architectural, the company wasn’t simply adding to its business—it was bringing together two brands serving the ultra-luxury door and window market.

With Reilly carrying strong name recognition, HCK2 helped Stately communicate the transition in a way that preserved that equity while introducing Reilly employees and customers to the Stately brand.

Acquisitions bring change for multiple audiences at once. Reilly employees needed to understand what the transition meant for them, while customers needed confidence in what the acquisition meant for the products, service and relationships they already valued.

The communications strategy needed to address those audiences thoughtfully while using the acquisition as an opportunity to build awareness of Stately in the broader marketplace.

HCK2 developed an internal communications rollout designed to introduce the acquisition to Reilly employees first, helping them understand the change, anticipate what was ahead and get answers to their questions throughout the transition.

Externally, HCK2 created co-branded social content that introduced the two companies together and highlighted the benefits of the acquisition for customers.

A targeted media relations campaign extended the story into the marketplace, with outreach spanning Dallas and New York business media as well as door, window and building industry trade publications.

HCK2 secured nine earned media placements across trade and regional media in the Dallas and New York markets, including coverage in D Magazine, Dallas Business Journal, Window + Door and HBS Dealer.

More importantly, the coordinated internal and external rollout gave Stately a clear framework for introducing the acquisition to employees, customers and the marketplace while building on the recognition both brands brought to the transition.
