Located at the beautiful Samuel Lynne Galleries in Dallas’ Design District, one of our clients, Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Greater Dallas(CCCS), recently hosted its 3rd Annual Purses with a Purpose, a live and silent auction with a night of jewelry, fashion and an elegant wine pull.

This year’s event provided guests the opportunity to bid on handbags from Michael Kors, Vera Bradley and Anne Klein, in addition to fabulous jewelry, exciting destinations and retail services.

The mistress of ceremonies for the evening was KXAS Channel 5 morning anchor, Deborah Ferguson. Amidst the wine and hors d’oeuvres being served, Deborah delivered the evening’s program and had the opportunity to interview former CCCS client, Sherry Mafia, who thanks to CCCS’ services and counseling will be debt free by the end of 2012.

In conjunction with our PR efforts surrounding the event, we are excited to share that Sherry’s story made it on the CBS evening news, which can be viewed here.

Purses with a Purpose brought together more than 350 Dallasites to support financial literacy among women, and CCCS surpassed its fundraising goal of $80,000, totaling $93,600 from sponsorships, live and silent auction items and straight contributions. The proceeds will go towards financial education efforts and community outreach.

If you would like to know more about how CCCS of Greater Dallas can help you achieve financial freedom, visit www.cccs.net or become a fan of CCCS of Greater Dallas on Facebook to receive updates on upcoming webinars and education classes.
