Hanging at the water cooler

  • Best Halloween costume?
  • I went as “Jack” from Fight Club, and my wife was Marla. We dressed up at work the day before Halloween. I forgot I was in costume with a beaten-up face, and I stopped at a store on the way home. The cashier asked if I was okay.

  • Best prank?
  • My wife and I have this ongoing prank of hiding fake dog crap in unexpected places for each other to find. My favorite was when I packed it in her lunch.

  • Superman or Batman?
  • Always Batman, although I do read both comics. Batman risks his life to help others despite the fact that no one really likes him. I admire that.

Tad Dobbs

Vice President, Creative

A creative problem solver with more than 20 years of design experience, Tad brings a unique and highly-strategic perspective to every project he touches. His favorite part of being VP of Creative at HCK2 is helping people – helping designers find that “aha” moment, helping leaders develop a process that works for the entire team and helping clients discover their brand’s emotional connection to customers.

A graduate of the University of North Texas — where he earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in communication design — Tad has put his talents to work for Texas Instruments, 7-Eleven, Kimberly-Clark, Trane/American Standard, Ghirardelli, Corona, Cricket Wireless, VitaminWater and many other companies, large and small. Along the way, his work has been recognized multiple times by the International Association of Business Communication (IABC), the American Marketing Association, the American Marketing Federation (Addy awards), The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (MarCom awards) HOW Magazine and more.

Although Tad exudes enough creativity for the entire team, he believes that marketing creativity is not the sole responsibility of designers and writers, but an essential asset for all members of the team.
